All sizing is in centimeters (cm) and represents the half chest measurement, from armpit to armpit, across the garment when laid flat. To check a size, the best thing to do is find a similar garment (T-Shirt, Polo or Hoodie etc) that fits you well, lie it down flat and measure it from side to side. Then match up the measurement to the size guide given for the garment. Note some styles are more fitted than others.

Yes! If you have doubts we encourage you to order samples to check garment size, style and fit before embroidery or printing. You can order them online. We need to invoice for all orders before they are sent out – including sample orders. Garments can then be returned for screen printing or embroidery as required.

Unwanted samples must be returned within 14 days in as new saleable condition with any packaging intact, and we’ll issue a refund or credit for the item. Freight costs on sample orders are non refundable.

Yes, absolutely. One job in our factory includes all the garments in the order, so you can freely mix and match different sizing options within your production batch (e.g., 5 Mediums and 5 Large).

This is really entirely up to you depending on the type of garment you need and the colour combo required. Generally garments that have a component of polyester or elastane tend to hold their colour and shape better than 100% cotton garments. High tech sports fabrics (eg. DriGear, BizCool, Climacool, KoolDri etc) are great for sports use or for a smart casual uniform.

Each product has a description of the fabric content. The GSM weight describes the 'weight' of the fabric (Grams per Square Meter). For example, a regular T-Shirt will be 180gsm and a heavy weight T-Shirt about 240gsm. A regular hoodie would be 350gsm and a heavier hoodie would be 400gsm. No. Setting up a new account with us is completely free. We don’t charge any “new client” admin fees or onboarding premiums to get your team or your franchise network registered in our system.

Setup fees are fixed, one-off charges required to prepare your physical branding assets before manufacturing begins. This involves manually converting your artwork into a stitch-ready format for our embroidery machines (digitization) or burning custom physical screens for our screenprinting presses.

• Dual-position setup: $110.00 + GST (e.g., front chest logo + a large back print).

If your project layout is not standard, we happily offer free quotes for small/big sizes and your special requirements.

No and Yes. Setup fees are one-off charges for some setups like digitizing your embroidery file; we keep your branding assets stored securely on our system indefinitely. When you come back for top-ups or re-orders for new staff down the line, these fees are entirely waived ($0.00).

But yes for some print processes. If we print logos for a production run, we will need to set those prints up again and re-print the logos. In some cases for large customers with evolving workforces (think security or sales force), they might pay for a large run of prints upfront and then just pay per garment following the initial set-up. It depends entirely on the customer’s needs.

Our standalone per-garment branding application fees depend on the complexity and location of the logo. On average, decoration costs $8.62 per unit, and typical ranges include:

At The Uniform Factory we have no minimum order quantity. However, when ordering a single garment or small quantity, set-up costs for printing or branding may make the garment expensive. This will vary depending on the actual design and branding method.

To bring your cost per garment down, we absolutely offer bulk discounts. Our garment pricing is heavily tiered based on total order volumes because larger manufacturing runs allow us to optimize machine configurations. A mid-tier polo shirt featuring a left-chest print typically ranges around $39.00 each for a small run of 20+ items, but drops down to $35.00 each if you scale your order up to a volume batch of 50+ items. For the purposes of quoting, most images are fine. However, for manufacturing, please send all production artwork in a vector format as an eps, cdr, ai or pdf. If you do not have your artwork available in this format, a high resolution bmp or jpg file may be ok. We will get straight back to you if we need different artwork for print quality.

You can easily attach your logo just to get a digital layout mock-up; we generate a mandatory .pdf proof for all jobs that needs to be specifically approved by you before we print or embroider anything.

Yes, absolutely. We can match exact colours. The exact process depends on whether the item or garment is printed, embroidered, or branded another way.

Our standard production turnaround timeline is generally 1 to 2 weeks. If you have a last-minute order, let us know – we might be able to help. If your garments are tied to an absolute hard timeline for a launch, go ahead and ask us. Sometimes we can help because we can often squeeze in a rush job between our other ongoing customers to get it finished inside a couple of days.

As we provide a Nationwide service and our range is so extensive, it is not practical for us to have a retail store or showroom in any one location stocking everything. We do have a workspace/showroom, but we don’t stock all styles and definitely not in every size.

No. For all standard production runs, we absorb the inbound freight charges required to transport unbranded stock from our network of apparel suppliers to our printing floor.

When your order is finished, we ship directly from our floor to your address. Outbound delivery is calculated purely at-cost based on standard regional courier box sizes (typically around $15 + GST for standard regional courier parcels) and is completely free for orders over $350.

High vis vests are far better for printing. You get a great super sharp result with no fabric puckering. Our prints are highly durable and have a long life. We stock great quality clothing and expect all garments to have a long life with the print looking great throughout day-to-day work wear.
